The 2019 Steamboat Springs Parade of Homes, presented by Colorado Group Realty, was on Saturday, August 10th. The parade provided an opportunity to visit illustrious and unique homes throughout Steamboat.
The Parade of Homes tour is a fundraiser for the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation. $20,000 from the 2019 event benefitted Steamboat Creates, specifically towards sending ~200 less fortunate kids to attend their Young at Arts Creativity Camps and to purchase a new AV system at the Art Depot. Steamboat Creates, a program of the Steamboat Springs Arts Council, supports and promotes arts and culture in the Yampa Valley. They nurture the arts so creativity flourishes.
The CGR Charitable Foundation is our way of giving back to the community. Each year, the Foundation typically supports over 30 local deserving charities with donations totaling over $40,000. Aside from financial donations, CGR agents donate their time, planning and ideas, such as organizing the Parade of Homes, to help our non-profit partners.
Each year for the event, we have generous homeowners donate their homes for the day. At the end of the tour, parade-goers vote for their favorite home and that home wins "Steamboat Springs Home of the Year" receiving a commemorative gift, a $500 gift certificate to a local restaurant and accolades for participating in such a worthy non-profit event.
The Anglers Ridge Estate home, owned by Kathy and Scott Schroeder, was voted the 2019 Steamboat Springs Home of the Year. This home was beautifully remodeled by contractor Marc Fraioli with AH&L, with interior design by Robin Campbell and furniture by Olivia’s Home Furnishings.
